In reply to Post #1 Just spotted your post in the Test Thread listing all the old smilies.
I am leaving the code in place to parse any messages which have the old SMILE tags in them; so any old posts will still look how the author intended.
Your Test Thread post shows you know how to insert the old smile tag....so you can still use them that way if you like.
Ideally I'd rather not have to add extra little bits and bobs into the new design.
Hopefully those two words weren't too distressing for you mate π I do intend to keep this version of the site running (because you have said in the past you want to retain it) and have the new mobile friendly design running in parallel.
Both UIs will use the same database and show the same messages.

In reply to Post #1 The way the old smilies worked was a bit poo and I wanted to make things easier going forward as there's lots of changes I have started making in the background to make things faster
Can you remember which ones you want? If not I can show a list and you pick them.
Then they can either
a - Have their modern equivalents in the left panel
b - I can create a separate little area for you to add the smilies from
As pointed out, all the smilies from any mobile device will now show after I updated the site/database to allow UTF-8

Hopefully it's just a glitch but at the moment I'm finding the smileys have changed.
There used to be loads to choose from and they were great, now they've reduced in number and are a bit naff.
Can we have the originals back please, some of them were unique.
