Although I don't use it myself I would go with the liver hydro from what I have read about it on many groups.

why liquid liver and yeast?
Some years ago my dog would eat beef liver jerky treats, lick the shed floor clean when I made baits with liver powder and wolf down any cat**** in the flower bed but turned her nose up at a dab of bait company liquid liver.

I'd use liver powder & Brocacel. 20g of each- 30g+ of each if it was your own recipe from scratch.

As already mentioned black pepper EO is more effective and personally I think chilli powder kinda wipes everything out.

wouldn't worry about betaine if it's already in the mix

I'm one for oily bait in the summer...20ml of salmon oil, c/w 10ml butryic acid per 500ml oil.

Very true, same goes with many asian dishes, strong flavours, violent spices, sugar helps to even it out. This is also how i view sweetners in fish mixes, not to make it sweet, but to bridge flavours, give it a foundation etc etc. If you view it like that a small amount does have a function, without overtaking the overall taste.

I would try it with and without the talin and see if it really makes any difference. I rate it (or similar) but make your own mind up

I have never been sold on the effectiveness of black pepper powder vs the EA which is in a league of it's own. I dropped the pepper powder from my spice mix and it really made now difference to the effectiveness of the bait for me.

Make some without the oil first. Chances are the fishmeal mix is already quite high in oil so you probably don't need to add anymore.

Hmmmm...i was told 1ml of talin to counteract the bitter taste of the spices. Not so much a sweetener more to take the edge off the spices ??
Also been advised to add 10g of fine himalayan rock or fine sea salt to make the spices "pop" or am i just being fed bs ??

I’d certainly keep the salmon oil, to help with the rolling if nothing else.
Personally I’d drop the Talin, but that’s just me not being able to get my head around having essentially a savoury fishmeal with a fishy flavour that tastes sweet lol. Other than that, looks good to me!
