Ive had a quest for quite a while but ive still never used it but going just from customer service, simplicity of use, compact size all the updates when they work and continuously able to update it and all the other things you can get for it now the quest easily wins it for me. The biggest downside to the toslon its huge size so total over kill for 90% of lakes where the quest will cover just about everything other than huge wave swept lakes which hardly anyone fishes.

Deeper user here and I have used it in some pretty rough weather even with waves. It all depends where you want to use it.
The Deeper will probably be not ideal in a storm on a big French public lake whereas on a gravel pit there will hardly be weather conditions you will be out for fishing and cannot use it.
Its a fantastic piece of kit with a super long battery life and a much easier to read sonar. Also much easier to use than the RTs some friends have.
RTs are for sure super high quality boats but I couldnt stand using all that gear just to operate a baitboat.
Deeper is one rucksack where everything fits in, a simple small remote control that couples with my smartphone. Couldnt be easier.

In reply to Post #1 Haven’t had both myself but my mates got the older X boat. It’s a quality boat but is heavy and large and for me only really needed on big waters.
The quest I have is amazing just the right size IMO to cover all bases and the good thing is the updates and options that can added with constant improvements. Mine has been absolutely spot on so far over 15km use (it has mileage on the app)
Both are really solid options either way.
Depends what you want really large and heavy with large bait capacity or medium sized light and spec laden with options to upgrade hardware and software to.

I currently have a very old RT4 V3 which has served me very well for 8 years with no problems at all. Unfortunately some LEDs no longer work and the motors are a bit noisier now and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I experience more significant problems. As a result I am looking for a new baitboat. I have already discarded the new RT7 - seems to be too many problems and having to deal with Germany for any issues is now not as easy a it once was. So the two boats I am interested in are the new Deeper Quest and the Toslon X Boat. Both have positives and negatives. The Quest appears to be very easy to use, nice PVA bags compartment, compact boat, and sonar on your phone. But I am uncertain about how it would behave in rough weather,? The Toslon however is a beast but this makes it sturdy in any conditions. The XR500 looks amazing but there does appear to be some issues. Anybody offer any advice on which of these 2 boats I should go for - anybody owned both? Many thanks.
