I have the standard bedchair with Techlite and the newer sleep system. Whilst I like the techlite and bedchair with Korda cover, it’s nowhere near as comfortable as the sleep system. I also couple the standard bedchair with a SIM, that makes a noticeable difference.

Following.
Really like the look of this bed having laid on my mates sleep system version at the weekend. I don't like sleep systems and much prefer a separate bag but I too have the Fortis Techlite so the comments about it being a tight fit are a bit concerning.
From what I can see the dimensions are 208x90 for the bed and the bag is 210x95 so not much to play with there! Also with the head end of the bed having a double leg system does the sleeve at that end of the bag fit properly?

Am I correct in thinking that u can remove the middle layer a zip the top waterproof layer onto the bed?

Agree with that. Even the biggest version is far to small. It would still pack down small even in a wide version due to the nature of the filling.

Fortis need to bring out a wider bag to keep up with the current 'massive bedchair' fixation . . .although it does defeat the object of having a mega lightweight bag . . .

I have been debating this exact same thing. I have the standard fortis bag which is a really tight (too tight really) fit on my original fox flatliner. The top and bottom hoods are stretched really tight to fit over and feel I’m always about to rip the bag. The mk2 solar sp seems to be about the same size as the fox so don’t want to repeat the issue. I’ve never fancied a sleep system as like to remove the bag and air it. I’m a sweaty git!
Thing is I really like the fortis bag but it is the main thing limiting bed choice, so may have to forego it.
I would like to upgrade my bedchair now as I’ve had it a long time and not sure what to do other than go for the full system. The new fox Flatliner looks good too but I thought seemed a bit too long and will be tight fit in the various shelters I have.
I will be interested in what you end up doing.

Fortis bag is only two layers - three if you include the underside? Main benefit is its depth / thickness / weight for warmth. Even with an Edel Maya cover I can fold it flat in my SP Mk1 Bedchair . . .whereas I can't (without the cover) with my Gardner Carp Duvet Compact . . .

My only worry with the fortis bag is that with a cover also that's 4 layers , u can remove the top layer which brings it to 3 layers . The system will only have the 2 layers or even one if u remove the other , so how well does it fold with the fortis bag on and are u using waterproof cover ontop?

I have the mk2 and have a fox ventec all season on it...best nights sleep ive had one the bank, its like the ventec as its roomy and sleep with it unzipped and its almost like a quilt cover, perfect combination for me

I'm amazed it fits . . .I have the mk1 SP C Tech and the standard (larger) Fortis bag and whilst its a perfect fit with no room to spare at 800mm wide the mk2 standard is 100mm wider?

Check the two hoods that hold the bag onto the bed,very tight

I’ve purchased the bed a few weeks back and use the standard size Fortis bag. Correct what everyone says about how comfy it is! Best nights sleep I’ve had out of numerous bed chairs. Personally don’t find the bag a tight fit or the bed to be overly heavy. Nice to be a bit higher than a standard bed as well, only thing I’ve found is under a fast and light it’s a tight fit with the added height.

The fortis bag is a tight fit on that bed,it is comfy but very heavy
