Have a look at the solar sp spider compact. zip in ground sheet, mozzy panel with either zip or magnets. Its alot lighter than the nash.
I dont have one but a mate does and he uses it for the reasons in your post.

Indeed the old Hutchi Geo was perfect in that respect. Super lightweight and inner capsule with a "rim" to prevent water etc. coming in at the entrance.
Have you looked into regular camping tents? These feature the same construction with closed inner cell and throw-over outer layer/wrap. They are all the same and it should be possible to find a slightly higher one also with aluminium poles.
Also it would be very lightweight and would not come with carp tax.
Indeed I had a 2-3 man dome tent that cost under 100 Euro that was perfect in that respect and huge once built up.
I have asked KI and most are below 130cm height but if you go for a 3 person tent there are higher versions suitable for carp fishing or what you need.
KI gave me the following options:
Outwell Cloud 3~130 cm
Vango Tay 300~130 cm
Regatta evogreen 3
Coleman Darwin 3
There are for sure some in the UK available that fit your bill.

I have just done the night under a brolly, no groundsheet, with a king size mozzie mesh thrown over.
I am like crack cocaine to mozzies and insects they cant get enough.
For the first time I used incognito, as I had run out of skin so soft, I didn't rub it in just liberal coating and let it dry. Here i am now still typing in the shade on the bank and so far love bite free  .
Will be going back to skin so soft when it arrives. I think anything citronella works for me and its cheaper than a new bivvy.
Another idea if its a dry night/day cant you just take inner shell from tian and 3 poles make it into a sealed wigwam. Not pretty but worth a try.

The Titan Hide’s are pretty lightweight and have zip in mozzy mesh.
You can sew Velcro to any bivvy groundsheet if you want the base sealed.
Also, do use Permethrin spray?

Not sure if the Tempest RS Brolly has an inner capsule option, but the RS100 does . . it toggles in so can be used with groundsheet and full infill at the front (zipped on) creating a double barrier all round . . .not sure on weights but I'd guess its still a few kgs lighter than your current Nash shelter . . it can also be left in permanently which is a bonus but would check packdown size as this may affect how easy it is to stuff back into the bag!

My suggestion would be a combination of a good brolly/bivvy with mozzie mesh, a Thermacell with proper tablets not the cheap versions, and incognito spray. That's worked for me in some pretty bad mozzie situations.

Last year I bought the wychwood epic bivvy and can in general recommend it.
Comes complete with zip in groundsheet and both full solid and full mozi mesh zip in fronts
The only area I would say critters could possibly get in would be the bottom of the door but I think you might struggle to find anything 100% guaranteed

as much as I was bitten by the bugs my 'lightweight' mobile option was a JRC ova;l (10k) , aqua M3 groundsheet and the universal mozzi-mesh add-on.
Was mostly bitten walking around although I really struggled with the moire effect of spending the day behind mesh.

I used to have the original fox easy dome back in the day,do they still make them ? That had a inner capsule that was a self contained unit in itself,maybe see if they still do them and they didn’t weight very much

Could you not just adapt another shelter? Maybe fit velcro to the groundsheet and bivvy to create the seal between the 2. And then use a mozzi front?
You could also try investing in something like a flextail to repel bugs too

I'm the same, prime insect food... haven't seen a 'tent' like that since i had a Hutchy Geo.

I know there are a lot of bivvy/shelter threads, so sorry to add a new one but I've spent forever on various manufacturer's web sites and they don't make it easy/clear.
I suffer from severe allergic reactions to insect bites—mozzies, midges, spiders, the lot. As a consequence I have to dose up with mega antihistamines before each session but I also need a bivvy/shelter that is insect proof. That means an inner capsule of some sort or a zipping/sealing mechanism for groundsheets and doors.
I currently use a Nash Titan T1 Pro which does the job perfectly, except.... it weighs an absolute ton, I'm 67 and each time I lift it I wonder how much longer I'll be able to. It's bullet-proof and in the autumn/winter is a life-saver but for this time of year I'd sooner be more mobile and have a lighter option.
Does anyone know of a shelter that can provide the 'airtight' seal I'm after but that doesn't weigh a ton? Thanks in advance.
