All my fortis snugpak have been spot on so far. Sj3, fj6 and more recently the sj9 tarty flektarn has been brilliant this last winter and cold spring. I wouldn't hesitate to replace them if they are still available

In reply to Post #4 Try and get a previous season release (the design gets tweaked over the seasons) . . .just noticed the latest doesn't have hand pockets which is daft (these are mountaineering products - presumably in an attempt to get the weight at 250g)
Honestly these are brilliant jackets if your looking for lightweight warmth and breathability . . .mega versatile

In reply to Post #2 So they do!! Just under the snugpak brand
Well might just get a straight replacement unless there are any other suggestions.

In reply to Post #1 Would def consider Patagonia Nano Air . . .they are neither cheap nor waterproof but they are the best multi-temp jacket on the market IMO. I have several in the hoody version and use them as a winter skiing mid-layer / spring outer . . I also have a dedicated khaki one for fishing and it has a permanent place in my barrow bag. It packs small (into its own pocket) but the warmth for weight is brilliant, especially with a fleece in early spring / autum etc. . .you can also wear it with a T shirt in 16-18 degrees and not feel hot / sweaty . . .ideal down the pub jacket - its that light you dont even know your wearing it if that makes sense . . .

Hi All,
After years of faithful service my SJ3 has seen better days and needs replacement. I think that the jacket is no longer produced. Does any one have any recommendations for a replacement?
Looking for something lightweight and not too warm i.e. spring and autumn use only.
Cheers
