You also have a pond in Batchley it used to have carp in it and I would say it's free fishing also

I had a friend in Redditch , drove all the way up to fish a little place called Boeley Mill..Nice place,well ,, it was 35 yrs ago
He also said that Arrow Valley lake had good carp in it, what about Arrow valley fisheries ,or similar name ,seen them advertised a fair bit ..
( Went in Austin Clissetts and Gold Label shop ,Terry Eustace)..

A good call but I don't know as never fished there. I'm surprised my Jnr Club never fished there as I've seen that Mark Downes has fished there for silvers, didn't know it had Carp.

I've had a look at the 'syndicate' lakes at Shatterford. I think they're nicer than the day ticket lakes. Have fished the day ticket lakes but caught a load of small Carp on a feeder from the top lake. The syndicate lakes being at the bottom look a nicer prospect to me, as at the bottom of the hill and some nice views around there.
Seems a few places do Carp AND Cats though, and I don't particularly fancy catching Catfish for some reason.
I'm going to put my name down for another syndicate with a waiting list in the Bromsgrove area - maybe for the Silvers ticket first.
Then I'm in a club with an estate lake in the Bridgnorth area, unknown stock of Carp, and I ain't seen anything while silvers fishing it, but for some reason, I quite fancy the challenge as I think there's some in there.

It's slim pickings for proper carp fisheries in the kiddie area, I live in stourbridge and havent fished a day ticket for ages in the area. Cuttle mill is a good shout for a chance at a PB. Bells mill is a nice little puddle but not my style of carp fishing, 8 pegs in 1.5 acres of water. Shatterford has the day ticket lake but again not my thing. If your willing to drive Norton Disney is probably my favourite day ticket complex but its around 2 hours away

I have a few places in mind but some are expensive like Angel Lakes. I'd have to encourage my mates to go and book the lake.

OK, Zerks ...those pbs are good mate ...nothing to hang yr head about ..
Just enjoy yr fishing ,and learning along the way... I don't worry about size too much,its all about learning and adventure ..

I'm just getting into Carp fishing.
I have a very humble PB of 24lb 4oz, which is 'Cut Tail' from Stack Pool I've caught 5 times.
Also had the Big Common at 21lb 10oz. The Koi Common at 19lb 2oz (Summer weight) and 21lb (Winter weight). And Apple 6 times which is always upper double about 19lb.
My dad's had the biggest from Stone Pool at 26lb 2oz.
These are very amateur PBs I know, but the biggest fish in the lake, and only Cut Tail has fell once to Carp tactics (first time I used boilies on the lake), and the Koi Common first time I had it was on boilies too, everything else has been to coarse tactics like a method feeder rod or bomb and bread in winter.
As they're the biggest in the lake, and I've caught every Carp I want from Stack Pool, I'm looking to progress more into Carp fishing.
I'm a member of a couple of clubs that have varying club lakes, but looking for somewhere to beat my PB in and around the Kiddie area.
I know of some places locally like Bells Mill I wish to fish, but is there anywhere else I stand a realistic chance of beating that.
