love my cobb, have all the accesories and use them all dependant on what im having and have done loads of dishes

Griddle plate - obvious ones steak etc
Bbq plate - for exactly that
wok - curries on the bank
Roasting rack - lasagna garlic bread, apple strudel, most things that you can cook in the oven
rottiserie - chicken thighs - shewama kebabs, gammon
spuds in the gutter wrapped in foil

marshmallows, cheese rampkins and bread theres loads of options

have a look at the cobb bbq group on facebook for pics and some of mine search sam booth to see mine in action

a tip to get your coals hot stick them in your basket and stick them on your stove for 5 minutes saves fire lighters etc etc etc
also use trangia stove instead of coals for quick cooks

The best roast potatos i have ever done is in the cobb. Cooking a joint of lamb above them. Can't always repeat the success though! Par boil, ruffle them up, add butter and let them stew in the lamb juices.

Far more repeatable success with new potatos, but not as good as a proper maris piper.

Nice one lads , some good ideas

I think it hard to beat a piece of meat and some potatoes

The last time I did potatoes (roasted style) they didn’t come out great . Any had any success making a good roast potatoe on the Cobb ?

I use mine as an oven a lot with the roasting rack, good for heating up/cooking food in. When I make a cottage pie or similar at home I make an extra small one in a foil tray and freeze it for when needed. When on the bank wrap some broccoli spears in some foil and add them for the last 15 minutes and voila. Obviously anything else you cook in the oven like a chicken etc will work well, the roasting rack helps gives a more even cook in my opinion.

Another fav of mine is pork belly slices, with olive oil and sea salt, again on the roasting rack, 45 minutes to an hour and they are spot on. Other than that the 'frying pan' attachment is a great accessory for anything from burgers/steak etc to a full english.

Last night I had Tescos hunters chicken bag of mixed veg and a garlic bread with a bottle of IPA, and it was spot on. But in all honesty it’s the first time I’ve taking it with me for a year or so. Shepards pie is nice on a cold night or half a Piri Piri chicken. Worlds yer omelette really

We're in the same boat mate. The Mrs has been looking at youtube a lot, there are quite a few camping blogs with dedicated recipe sections within for the Cobb, quite a lot of god tips too.

There's a Yorkshireman who does some good side by sides, same dish different fuels/ways of making....if you can take him seriously, sounds just like Sean Bean

I bought the rotisserie and use that for cooking whole chickens and other lumps of meat.
I no longer use Facebook but there is a great group on there that share ideas.
Pizza stone worth investing in for a quick meal.

Hi , I recently bought a Cobb (finally took old geezers advice)

I cooked the usual chicken and potatoes. They are fantastic for cooking a lasagne and the wok is superb for curries.

I’m now looking to try some more stuff , I saw Jim Shelley do a great lamb leg which I want to try but what else are people cooking on them ?

What’s your go too Cobb meal ?

I’m going to do some breaded chicken next time out but want a few ideas for the longer summer sessions

I will get the bbq setup also because that will be handy in the summer

What you cooking on them guys ?
