In reply to Post #2 Cheers, I've done some more web searching and found TVB mentioned on the barbel forum.. Posts are pre-2012, which fits as I would have bought that job lot sometime around 2003-04.
Not much on it tbh just 'it catches because it is a different bait' ..carp anglers have nothing on the barbel boys for being sceptical and fickle
Hookbait Company sells a 'delicate' natural flavour River Secret for chub..which doesn't surprise me. because either my nose is off or it has faded complely.

In reply to Post #1 I used to use the Teme Severn baits years back. Got to know a few of the guys who developed them and used them too. They were based around the lamprey.
They did some phenomenal pellets tho which I had some really nice barbel on.

I've been having a tidy up in the flavouring boxes and I rediscovered some Teme Valley flavours. IIRC they came in a job lot I bought over 20 years ago
Two 50ml bottles of River Secret and one of Lamprey oil.
Teme Valley hare long gone but am I right in thinking they made barbel baits?
