Have you got a local tackle shop you can ask, or walk the river a few times, see if anyones fishing and ask them, maybe even ask a local fishery

Please bear in mind that fishing rights, if not under any obvious clubs or the like, are still owned by the landowner. You'd still need permission to be on the land and fish. Chances of you getting challenged depends on your luck!

For truly free stretches of river you'd need to find publicly owned land that allows fishing on it at no cost.

Im just getting into my small river fishing for chub barbel and perch etc

Thing is how do i know where i can and cant fish, wheres owned by a club and where isnt?

Im in edenbridge kent and have the eden on my doorstep but want to explore more free options
