IQ D rig is a good starting point from a simplicity perspective. However have a look at the 'Revolver' rig . . .the 0.40 fluro D is whipped on and protected with a shrink tube kicker but the rest of the rig is a combi tied with an albright (braid hinge to fluro boom) . . .non metal version of a Ronnie D effectively.
I still use a braid slip D multi for a lot of rigs as I'm dropping with a boat and have confidence its presented. . .however I'd def use the Revolver if I was chucking one out / there was a Ronnie ban and certainly in favour of using a ready made D Rig Kicker as they are a waste of time (the D stretches and warps on big chucks / after catching every fish) . . .

For D rigs i tend to use a fluoro hooklink. ESP Ghost remains my favourite

I’ve been using the slip d rig, and had good success on it, though have had circumstances where I’ve reeled in and the supple d has wrapped around the shank. This has led to me losing a bit of confidence in it and going back to the mono/fluoro d rig I used to use.
I’m looking for recommendations on hooklink material to use (type and breaking strain) which would be used on a heli setup.
Primarily I’m looking for something anti-tangle but still have an element of suppleness to ensure it can extend into carps mouth. My sessions are generally short so need to be confident I am fishing.
