Sounds about right and wouldn't be surprised if it happens either. Dick heads ruining it for everyone as usual, plus its been on borrowed time for years now

Totally agree... never been visited by a Garde at Salagou which may be the issue, little capacity to police the lake properly? Ends up being easier just to ban nights in totality and requires little enforcement. On another note, there is a campsite close to the lake, if you're that worried about the van then why not just pay for a 'pitch' and leave the van on the park while you're there. Obviously you can only do this when the site is open but may be a simple, if more expensive option...

Any punishment should be directed at the perpetraters not all and sundry.

Make some rules that limit length of stay and enforce the 80m rule.

It is somewhere the wife and I fish in the cooler months and we love the place and shouldn't suffer due to the morons.

Unfortunately this is what happens when full timer type Anglers need to glorify themselves and piss off the locals with their filthy habits like ****ting all over the place, parking like idiots and hogging swims for weeks on end.
Couple the above with selfish behaviour towards other water users and you end up losing the fishing rights.
Take me back to the good old days !

That's interesting can you keep us posted if you hear anything else
If what you say happens I doubt it will stop anyone as there are always chancers, they stopped it on Cassien but it hasn't worked there's still plenty of anglers night fishing and I mean plenty

There may be no further Night Fishing at Salagou if what I heard from a mate who lives nearby is true.

Should be fine in the main car park but I would say make sure you leave nothing of any value inside. Heard of a few attempted thefts at Salagou over the last year or so. Not sure how true those rumours are, but it wouldn't surprise me.

What's the deal with parking up your van at Salagou and leaving it while you go off fishing ? I fished cassien years ago and it was I bit hit and miss then . Was thinking of planning a trip next year , driving down and staying for 10 day of a fortnight. Always a bit of a worry .
