Maybe Speak to Marcus at Mirage Baits. He has a new bait just come out with various meat products in it so may be happy to supply some suitable meals to help you out.

I used meat and bone meal in a mix for barbel before which done ok. Beef isolate may also be worth a look, both you can avoid any carp tax as well.
I ultimately gave up on meat baits for barbel as did far better on traditional milk and fish type baits

Can anyone reccomend a decemt supplier of a quality meat meal? I am having a play with a biat predominantly for Barbel and would like a meaty element to the bait
