I’ve always found it quite refreshing that the Korda Team have heavily promoted products from other manufacturers in the past, unlike a lot of the other brands that as mentioned in another thread sell just about every item of tackle you could possibly imagine and more, most of which is nothing to do with the Core of the Brand (how they started out) and is of questionable quality.

Few items spring to mind that Korda have promoted Trakker & Aqua Products, Delkim, Daiwa Rods & Reels, Muddy Waters Indicators etc…
This move from Daiwa to Shimano is just another part of that IMO, obviously his future thoughts on the reel are going to be biased, he’s getting paid and getting free reels to promote the brand. We all know Techniums are one of the best reels on the market and in reality are no different to the Basias he had before, they won’t catch him any more fish or any less, however his followers will be influenced by his reviews and Shimano will sell a few more sets because of it, that’s the way the world is.

What I think's ironic is that the fella has blagged a new set of Shimano reels and had to promote this on the internet (cap reversed to look more yoot) whilst all us keyboard warriers are off on a massive bait tangent which does or does not have any truth behind it .

I'm sure one of the bait guru's will be along shortly to put us straight

I hope he’s asked for permission this time - unsure I could stand another naughty schoolboy does an apology moment…

It seems he just using there reels. No mention of him not using Korda products. So it looks like we won't be seeing him head to toe in Shimano Tribal realtree clothing ( is that still a thing )anytime soon...

I don’t think he’s leaving Korda, just using shimano reels

Odd move tbh. Korda is a powerhouse! Good for Shimano though

Maybe he can admit that he doesn't use mainline hookbaits at the same time
