I’ve used the carp spirit or angling iron in a size 6 for the last 4 years or so. Consistently good hook holds, obviously the odd hook pull here and there as with any hook, but never opened one out either. With a 12mm pop up they are perfect for me. I recently bought 10 packs of the vmc ones off eBay which are the same hook for £1.50 each and been impressed with them too !

I know it's not a wide gape but the Carp Spirit curves are great ronnie hooks

Tried the kranks on both rods. 6 runs, 5 landed. Will stick with them for a while.

I use either Kranks or ESP Claw Hammers for spinners. V confident in both.

I like the way the hook sits when using a kicker. Looking forward to test it in 2 weeks.

I dropped a few fish on Ronnie's using curves so binned them off. Recently tried them again with size 4 Kranks and the hook holds were superb.
