I use standard esp large tungsten sinkers, give them a wiggle and they go over a krimp, perfect for holding down a 12mm pop up on a spinner, no other putty needed.

You need to get some tungsten anti tangle sleeves, the type that are about 40 mm long and taper away to almost nothing, I’ve used Terminal Tackle UK’s versions and some from Mark one developments on eBay, Cut the hook end one about 15mm long from pointed end and at the swivel end around 20/25 mm long, they must be added to the boom prior to crimping etc I’ve been doing this for the last 3 years, very neat and adds weight to the boom too

Could use any size or brand you want and just heat up a boilie baiting needle and push through the hole to open it up. I used to do this with the avid ones but just ended up going back to putty as it can balance it exactly as I want.

Perhaps the ESP Ronnie Clips and Tungsten Sleeves will solve the poblem. The bore in the sleeves can take the clip so I guess they will be able to take a crimp instead.

Do you mean the hinge beads or the sinkers... As they are two different Gardner products?

The hinge beads come in Heavy / Standard weight.

It's the Sinkers that come in high / low bore.

I use both, although in terms of the hinge beads. Whilst being neater, putty is better. Even the heavy ones struggle to pin down an off the shelf 15mm, unless you trim it or add extra weight (ie old leadcore or crimps)

There are two available. Do you use the High bore or Low bore?

I am looking for a tungsten sinker to cover the crimps on my booms sections. I have tried putty but just don’t feel it is neat enough. Have been looking at the Gardener Hinge beads as a possibility. I have had success with the Thinking Anglers Tungsten droppers but they are super fiddly to get the bore over the crimp once crimped down. Any advice lads?
