You might find some inspiration here. I use this setup - with leadfree leader instead of tubing as shown - and it gives great bite indication. He explains how to set it up for fishing in weed.

Not sure i would feel confident at all using lead clip with stiff hinge and pva bags will probably attract the breamage

Im trying to figure out how to fish over canadian pond weed that looks quite tall plus silk and other weed when 50cm of tubing is mandatory.. its a gravel pit. At the moment im thinking heli kit on tubing (proper faff) with chod rig and pop up but can anyone suggest any alternative methods? Thanks
