I think I'll be getting an epic bivvy system too at some point.

Bivvy has arrived and whilst only set up in the garden so far it looks good. Much easier to set up than the Solar, I really like the zip in skull cap, far easier to get on (wish it could pack down eith it on but a small gripe). Materials seem solid and overall feels well made with nice touches, such as the movable pockets. First impressions are that it will definitely tick the boxes i wanted and will see me selling the Solar and keeping this as my main bivvy

I've been eyeing up the epic too and would appreciate your opinion on it, unfortunately no supplier near me to get eyes on it before I commit 👍

I had the defier mark 1 and used it for overnighters or day sessions, recently bought the mark 3, its bigger and heavier than the mark1 (better material and bigger size) but I think its brilliant for the money.
IMO it would be ideal for france especially this time of year with the zip in groundsheet and mozzie mesh behind all windows and the door to keep out the mozzies. I have a hide xl and a frontier which both have their good points but the defier is better imo

I've got a Solar (the South Westerly version) and it's OK. I've written a review of it on here previously and the issues I had havent abated as many people suggested they would. I've actually got a Wychwood Epic on order (after issues with Yodel and it being 'lost' I should get it this week). If it's as good as it looks and been reviewed I will be selling my Solar

Blackfield has a Fox jobbie for sale in the classifieds….looks a steal. Only problem is that it’s in Liverpool….

I have the Tactical Brolly and it’s excellent.

Looking at a new Bivvy to use on bigger swims / for France.
A friend has the Solar uni spider and it's great but is upwards of £800 with skull cap + mossie mesh etc

Wychwood and Quest seem to be a knock off version of this and both around the same price but has anyone seen the Wychwood up close / owns one and can give a review?
Looks good apart from the camo but think I can live with that, few differences like no rear windows, no internal pockets, different ( cheaper looking ) spreader block

Quest one also looks good and has a few more features like the solar but wonder if the Wychwood would be better quality being a bigger / more well known brand?
Know the quest gets pretty well reviewed overall on here
