I loved the old shop .. always went to Fosters then up the road to Eustaces. Proper old school shop in very sad decline giving way to the sterile angling directs.

First job I had after leaving school at 16 was working for Terry at the Gold Label shop, prior to it being rebranded to BAC.
Terry was such a class act. One of the funiest blokes around. He always had some great stories or jokes, and when other local legends dropped in, like Des Taylor, it was a laugh a minute.
Spent many happy years working for Terry and Eric in the shop, bagging up Gold Label Tackle or feeding maggots to the spiders out the back. Great times.
Sad news. RIP Terry.

Brum Angling Centre was the place for a deal! My last (relatively recent) purchase was my current FS Spomb rod bought for a steal . . . Pro Gold stayed on all my spools for many years - was by far the best line available for a long time - RIP Terry
