Only going on my experience which the grand total of one trip but bounty lakes should tick your boxes except it’s 4.5hrs from Eurotunnel

Went 2 weeks back grand total of 77fish 62 carp 15 cats
Carp 3 40s 11 30s and a 154lb cat

Hi everyone,

I might be in a position to do a French trip last week of October. My usual fishing mates have used up their leave allowance so might be a solo trip. With that in mind, I’m thinking of going to a runs water (as opposed to types of lakes I usually go to) to keep me occupied.

I’m mindful that availability may be a challenge, but what would you recommend. Criteria:

- bend in the rod, 30s+ runs water ideally
- ideally within 3 hours of ferry ports from either Calais or Le Havre, but will consider further
- food package
- usual shower, recharging etc facilities

Many thanks
