In reply to Post #1 Could you not just air dry them?

Also might help to wet the boilies down , works similar to dampening the inside of the stick down

In reply to Post #6 They're a tad on the soft side. That said, you can stick em out, but you have to keep your stick wet and you'll still get some that split. I don't have any probs with the Poachers ones.

In reply to Post #5 I do use Atlantic Heat, not tried Creamino via a stick

In reply to Post #1 I too use a throwing stick for baiting up at range. I've used Baitworks Creamino in them and they split. I think their Atlantic Heat are a bit firmer so should be OK.
The best for me are Poachers Tiger Nut & Maple and Fruit Frenzy. Nice firm baits, freezer only, sizes are even numbers so no 15mm. I've just bought some Handcraft Herb 20mm shelfies and they're good also for getting that extra bit further.

Can you ask the maker to harden some up for you ?

In reply to Post #2 I also use Baitworks and using a stick is my preferred baiting method and I have no issues

In reply to Post #1 I use baitworks with no issues

Long story short... the current bait I use is too soft (for good reason) to use in a throwing stick. If I air dry it I loose the weight to get the range I need. Spodding is out the question and i do catapult when I am fishing close enough that's its a option.
Can anyone recommend a bait/ bait supplier that make a 15 & 18mm bait that is good in throwing sticks.
