In reply to Post #1 If you want to start the fermentation quickly none of the previous suggestions will actually do much at all to start off a fermentation.
If you really want want to start off a fermentation < this is a a sure fired method
Go and buy a box bread making Yeast from Aldi 85 pence i think and a bag of sugar £1.25
You can make a starter with say 2 Sackets of yeast or all of them into some warm water in a bucket with some sugar in it, It will start fermenting in less than 15 minutes ,add the rest of the sugar to the particles then add the starter ,it will all be fermenting in less than an hour.

In reply to Post #7 Just don't get your pants pulled down by paying £48 a litre for yeast extract or flavoured syrup 😂. Also, neither of these products actually contain any live cultures to start a ferment if that's what you are looking to achieve.

In reply to Post #1 Not got experience doing it but heating them up until the liquid is warm and praying for hot weather is probably the best bet. Throw in some sugar.
I’d say best bet is to chuck some hydros in and powders to jazz them up.

In reply to Post #1 Chuck some pellets in with them.

planning on trying to jazz up some lake made particles on a pending trip,
I can not bring my own particles so wondering if adding fermented garlic would provide an instant boost?
Are there any other ways to speed up the fermentation in a short period of time?
Thanks
Dave
