This lake brings back some memories. Remember stumbling on this pit in the early 90s while holidaying down that way. A more Carpy type of water you couldn't ask for. Rugged unkept Old WW2 concrette gun inplacements little bays dot islands pads weed top to bottom gin clear and no one fishing it. Paradise.. Wished it was closer to home and left it at that.

Was down that way again a year or so back. Thought I'd take a look. Wow... totally diffrent a he'll of a lot busier. Obviously had a lot of work done to it by the controlling club.. But where did all the weed go? What used to be gin clear water was now mud coloured. Still had a bit of charm to it though.. but it didn't look half the water it used to be..

Sorry Onslow may be a bit out of touch. Has not been a 40 in Sinah for a few years now. The one fish that regularly came out 40+ died a while ago. A couple of 35+ fish but a simmo type strain so not lookers like the old originals were. Lots of mouth damage to the stock these days due to pressure and low water levels in Summer months. Club run the lake as a mixed fishery with a large head of bream to cater for match/pleasure anglers.
Still a lovely lake when levels are up but certainly not the specimen carp water it once was.

No worries bud.

When Chi had closed seasons on their lakes everyone and their dog headed for Sinah so seal clubbing season was more crazy than the rest of the year. Don't know if it's still like that though.

Hello mate,

I dropped the PDAS ticket this year, some lovely spots to fish but not many 'big' carp waters so what they have gets ramo.

Sinah stockies have grown on now into forties - simo's and VS from memory. Think all the old stock is gone now. Just because of how busy it gets and the road into Hayling, I rarely fished there.

Brownwich is the other one to look at, but 24 hr limit, booking system, max 8 anglers, draw at start of session and not set up to mooch - more about setting up camp and hoping they swim past. If you miss the draw you can choose from what's left. Last I heard, they were building islands down the middle to stop people over casting.

Edit: Funtley is still a little unknown, has a few thirties, some really crusty old mirrors too 👌, 30ft deep in the middle and full of snags. Again can get busy with pleasure anglers. Backs onto houses one side and a motorway the other, but run by Jock who is a decent fella and bailiffs all a decent bunch of lads too

Hope this helps

Can anyone give me any info on stock and fish sizes in Sinah please? Not after any secrets or anything just an overview of the fish in there and sizes!
Also - are there any other lakes on the ticket with bigger fish, nice settings, etc?
I’ve checked website but would love to hear from anyone who has fished it.
