I’ve got the CFX in 3lb test curve and they are a great set of rods, don’t think you can go far wrong with them.

Thanks, but I really want to try 10ft as the key driver is very confined swims.

I already own an 11ft barbel rod which I’m very happy with and I use a 10ft marker/spod rod which makes life easier in tight swims and I really like the portability too.

Harrison Aviator 10' 3.25 . . . .use these pretty much exclusively now for UK fishing
Brilliant blanks - lightweight, easy to cast - had fish to 40+ and they handle them as well as any 12' rod I've ever owned . . .

The Harrison Ballista 10ft 2.75lb test, are a really nice rod to use.
Not sure if they sell this blank built off the shelf though.

Have a look at the S range 10ft mate l’ve. got the 3lb which are lovely rods and like all the S range they are nice to play fish on and they do a 2.75 too, not the cheapest option but nice rods.

Free Spirit have just re-released their E-Class range. They do a 10ft 2.5lb rod with 30mm butt ring, sure it’s very nice and less than £150 a rod.

Hi,

Free spirit has certainly what you are looking for.
A couple of other brands that can provide you the required 10ft rods are:
Sporten, pb products (they have lovely parabolic rods), korum

It might also be worth checking the barble department

I’ve just got access to a couple of overgrown waters with big tench in them (not to mention a few big carp).

I’m considering a pair of 10ft rods to make confined swims a bit easier to fish…

I know very little about 10ft rods - a mate has some Tacklebox CFX rods for boat fishing and they are quite nice.

I want something that bends (main use will be big tench or barbel fishing with biggish leads) but is heavy enough to chuck 3oz feeders (50/60 yards max).

I’m thinking 2.5 - 2.75 test curve which seems to limit the choice a lot.

Tacklebox are selling 10ft ‘s’ lite 2.75’s off cheap - anybody tried those ? I know that the Free Spirit S rods in 12ft are very good.

Any recommendations for other 10 footers that bend; much appreciated.

Ideally not top of the range custom built prices as they aren’t going to get lots of use.
