Look for a 6d2 body, if you want full flip/rotating screen. Can be had fairly cheap, you keep the full frame quality, and current lenses. Would probably be cheaper or same net cost, since you won't have the added cost of buying into a new lens system too.

In reply to Post #11 Love my little 250d, takes a cracking self take, auto focus is excellent on live shot and it is less bulky and lighter than my old 750d, battery life is good too which is important for someone as forgetful as me lol. For simple self takes with a intervalometer its nice and easy although if i had one very small gripe it would be that the socket for the intervalometer is the same side as the screen but it's a very minor inconvenience, other than that its excellent.

I only really wanted something new as these both have dip screens making self takes easier. I won’t be getting rid of the 5d

In reply to Post #1 My regular fly fishing partner is a top professional advertising photographer and one of the best angling ‘travel’ photographers out there.
He carried 2x Canon 5d bodies on most of our foreign trips until he finally switched to Sony about 18 months ago. He told me to buy a 5d back in the day.
For anybody who might be interested; check out ‘mattharrisflyfishing’.

In reply to Post #1 I use a canon R6.
Full frame with all the bells and whistles and you can use
your old lenses athough I think you will need a adaptor.
Also has a flip round screen which is great for self takes.

Sony Alpha series. Compact, excellent resolution, very adaptable.

5D II is a professional level full frame camera, so would keep that tbh. Still my camera of choice now.

In reply to Post #1 Would be useful to know the reason you are looking to change.
What in particular are you dissatisfied with (current 5dii) or looking to achieve (new functions, benefits, etc)?

Agree with the previous posters. To upgrade you'd really need to go full frame mirrorless with a mount adapter.

The 5D II is a classic pro level camera.
Either of the 2 cropped models would really be a downgrade.
I'm still using a 5D mark one

In reply to Post #1 I'd personally keep the 5d, i would be fairly reluctant to move from a full frame beast like the 5d mkii to a more modern apsc sensor.
If it's for quicker AF and more modern settings and features then its understandable but i can't imagine you'll gain much if anything in regards to build quality or image quality.

In the market for a new DLSR. Narrowed it to Canon 750d or Canon 250d. Currently have a 5d mkii so will be swapping over lenses.
Any thoughts?
