I’ve had different versions of Nevs for probably 25 years so done lots of battery changes and I’ve never bothered replacing the blue gunk

Never had any water issues either so I wouldn’t be too worried about it, like the other poster said, just don’t over tighten and crack the cases/backs.

Hi there,
I no longer own mine but when I did I scraped and cleaned both faces to remove the old glue and used a blue gasket sealant to re-seal.
Spot on
No leaks

I’d like to give my Steve Neville MK2 an MOT, well new batteries.
Is it a simple task or is there an element of still with replacing gaskets, glue etc.
I’ve never replaced them in the years I’ve had them 👍
Any input & advice is appreciated
