In reply to Post #4 Thanks much for your replies. Seems there are no definitive answers in this :-).

In reply to Post #1 Nash use the same bags for their UK and EU baits and they have a list of ingredients and protein % etc., so I would assume it must be the same bait.

No idea if they do or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all. It’s not just about taxes either, I work in the food industry and exporting to the EU is a massive pain if the product contains POAO (product of animal origin) which includes meat, derivatives, egg and dairy. The paperwork is crazy including evidence of origin, slaughterhouse, processing establishment etc

In reply to Post #1 I know many of the big companies have EU factories to produce bait and avoid import taxes. Are they the same bait as the UK baits I don’t know. I can imagine not though, on the basis there is the perception Euro anglers seems to be less concerned on quality and more on quantity because of the larger waters.

I have heard that some bait companies make two different versions of the same bait: one for the EU, one for the UK.
The UK baits always being higher quality than the EU stuff.
Richworth, Mistral, Nash etc. were mentioned.
Although this is pure hearsay and might only be a rumour and do the companies unjustice.
Have you heard about anything like that?
Being from the EU I dont want to buy an inferior bait and pay the same or even more of course.
But I dont want to follow unjustified rumours as well.
Thanks much for your input!
