I purchased a item from France last year £500 ish and I think I was charged about £170 for vat or duty
,paid to the courier before they could even deliver
Probably cheaper to get the boat over and pick it up yourself as mentioned below

In reply to Post #8 If you buy & collect you pay the normal Euro price, as per the website, (less any 'deal' they they may offer you).
If you have it shipped to the UK they deduct not quite the full Dutch VAT, but close. BUT and it's a big but, then you are charged UK VAT and Import duty and shipping fees that are in excess of £100.
F##KING BREXIT!!!!!!!
If buying in person use a Revolut card and then you get the spot exchange rate and no fees etc. ROE is pretty good at the moment.

In reply to Post #7 So did you pay the 21% Dutch tax (rrp on their website) when you collected in person? 😁

In reply to Post #6 I collected it - was going on a French trip so called in to their shop. It's just over the boarder from Belgium. About 2 1/2 hrs from Calais. Very friendly guys, even helped me to fit some launch wheels when I collected the boat. Can't recommend them or the boat highly enough.......

I've just bought a Raptor Xwide 270. Cost £730 plus got a few freebies thrown in. I researched different dinghies available in the UK but at then end of the day the Raptor Boats are pretty unique. They offer all of the following which no other boat does:
0.9mm PVC
Fully armoured keel & tubes
Over inflation valve
X wide dimensions (this alone is a game changer)
5year guarantee
Don't go near a Fox or Nash.............

In reply to Post #1 Have a look at Rydal if you want brand new or better still, get a mint 2nd hand Quicksilver or Plastimo or Honwave.
Any quality Ocean going tender type inflatable will be equal in quality to Raptor at a price less Carp Tax.

In reply to Post #2 Yeah might have to dig deep and pay carp tax!

In reply to Post #1 Just had a look at the tackle box listing for the Waveco, boats are half about It obviously will do a job, one thing to note unlike some better quality inflatables this one doesn't have any rubbing strips to the underside which are usually 0.9mm rubber strips over the 0.7mm boat material giving it further protection from underneath especially useful if fishing gravel lakes and running the front of the boat up a shallow margin.

I see the Raptor boats are in most opinions the one to get but still loads of money from what I can find..
Ive found the WavEco 270 Dinghy with Air Deck on the tackle box website (but cheaper elsewhere £480) and wondered how this compares?
Anyone know anything about them?
Am I better off paying carp tax for the Rator, Fox X or any other boat?
