Nash cling on leader is the best I’ve used by far. Sinks like a brink and super strong, top stuff 👍

I've been using the Gardner Camflex for a few seasons now and rate it highly. Easy to splice, sinks well and I like the colour as it blends in well.

I got 3 x 10m spools of this for a tenner. Decent enough, it has some shiny non lead wire inside, but easy enough to remove if you need to and the fish really don't mind.
Needle knot at the mainline end and 3 turn blood knot onto the swivel.

Try the 40lb fox submerge i have used it for a while now it is thicker than the thinking anglers leadfree leader

I think the 50lb fox is a bit to thick for general uk fishing

I've been using the Fox copper core. It has a tiny copper chain link running inside. It's incredibly supple & heavier than other lead free.

Never had a tangle, easy to splice & I recommend it highly.

I've been using avids pin down and it was good but I found it thin, the rubber for the korda no travmce beads wasn't snug enough on the leader.

I've just got the gardner cam flex, it's thicker, splices well and sinks really well too. wish I'd swapped over ages ago

ESP have some new lead free leader material whichis in stock at thetacklebox (see socials for details)

I used the 65lb Cygnet / Trakker stuff last year & took the lead out of it - didn't have any issues & it's very thick.

Probably didn’t explain very well. The thickness isn’t so much what I’m getting at, I’m after something more like traditional leadcore but leadfree👍🏻

And I can personally say I have suffered the odd tangle, which I think is due to the overall diameter of the leader.

I have used all makes of leadless leader for the last 15 years, don’t think I’ve ever had a tangle.

Yes the Fox is thicker but I think more visual to the fish.

I’ve been using the thinking anglers leadfree leader and it’s decent. Nice and supple, heavy when wet however it’s a bit thin especially compared to leadcore which I believe can cause the odd tangle in flight.

I’ve heard the fox submerge in 50lb is good and a bit thicker, does anyone else have any other recommendations?

Cheers 👍🏻
