I always use a mix of sizes as long as I'm not catapulting them out. Currently got a mix of micro, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm that I am using in mesh bags. Would use the same for spombing or using a baiting pole

Nice oily 17s in summer 2mm mix in winter for bags general feed 8mm

Depends on scenario, venue, time of year.
Summer months do a mix of high oil 6/8mm
Winter months low oil 3mm

Depends on the situation for me. If I’m baiting up I use 4mm pellet mixed with hemp but when it comes to fishing I like an 8mm, i prefer bigger food items when I’m fishing as I find the carp easier to hook. Also can get them out a decent distance with the catapult.

I just gone back to using pellets instead of particles. Tend to use 8 & 5mm as the 5's are quick break down.
