Back in those days i bought it from snick belgium who sell all kinds of products for the food industry. Yeasts, fonds all that and much more. So basically its primary use was culinary, human grade. Best stuff i ever used.

Don't know about ccm, but my guess is that was fish silage. Good but can't compare that to l030.

This was good stuff. Non of that horrible acidic hydro taste.
I only put in some used wrapping paper to send a pic to a mate.

Always wondered why it was discontinued. I've no idea what the original market was, but as it was such a great additive, it seems strange that it disappeared. Also, was the original Marine Amino Compound from CCM actually LO 30 ?

No we stopped many years ago, same as yourself just have old stock but still add it to particles out of habit.
It was an interesting liquid for sure.

I feel your pain with regards the funnel and ladle! Shame when you can’t trust bait companies.

Edited out my waffle, apologies to the OP.

Mark - do you still do the PM Pellet liquids? I used to buy Liquid 6 from Paul direct and still have an unopened 5 litre bottle which I suspect is of no use now (probably 10+ years old!!). I liked that stuff and we used it in a boilie that I designed for some mates to use on their own lake👍

When the original LO-30 wasn’t as well known and the bait companies that did supply it were watering it down I used to decant it into 500/1000ml bottles and sell it on here at not much more than cost price. Great fun with a ladle and funnel in my garage😁 I agree that bacarels tuna is probably the best alternative now, or their shrimp liquid which is also excellent and well worth a try if you’re into these type of liquids.

I've used it. It's ok, not a patch on the real thing though

Anyone tried or have any thoughts on Stickys version

I used to swear by Seagardens L0-30

Karlos as you might see this just a quick question when I used to create a web link I would press the >> then insert the copied web address simple as, now when I press the two >> I get a drop down box saying to create a web link the address must start with htpp and no option to insert the web linked address any, ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I'm pretty sure it's unopened!

When I head over that direction to see my daughters this weekend I think I will drop in to the farm and dig it out.

I might even have more...I think I ordered 2 of them at the time...might have a part used one too!
I know I have some very old glug pots in my garage which have L030 and old boilies in. I used to use it at the rivers, I found that the smellier the bait was the more chance of a run

Nice to know that it may well still be usable, it's been kept in my bait 'factory' (10ft square room with boarded up window) in an old milking parlour...so it shouldn't have got any sunlight.

The 5l of liver IS very runny now. I was going to pour it down the loo to get shot of it, but thought that maybe if I have another river campaign in the next year or two I could use it as a soak for particles/vitalin-copy or whatever...as long as it doesn't smell bad to me I figured it would be usable

EDIT: Tastes!? Tastes Jamie!? You never....?

I still have a small amount left in a bottle that I use to glug hookbaits - it still looks, smells & tastes the same as it did back when I got it - must be 15 years old now.

@Karlos - you still have 5l? You should put that on ebay & watch what it goes for. I wouldn't be surprised if you got 4 figures for it.

We did indeed, that's a blast from the past, we used to buy it direct from the company Nemisis mentions in 19kg pails if memory serves, I used to soak all my leadcore, leads etc in the stuff, it was very good.
To anyone who has some, it probably won't be as effective, it had a 24 month best before but it might still be worth a go, ground bait, particles etc.

Edit: After checking my notes the L0-30 that we brought was from a verified Seagarden supplier in the UK.

LO30 was made by Seagarden. Long discontinued. Somewhere I have a copy of a conversation between Seagarden and one of the big bait companies discussing this... Technically now the closest thing is the tuna paste hydro that is supplied by Bacarel.

From memory, a company called PM Pellet used to sell L030.
