Yeah thanks for the replys I was on Moulsham the first year he had it, so there was plenty going in at the time and it did plenty all over the place.

I will give ABS a call, maybe I can invent something better for them to roll for me 🙂

I'm pretty sure that Alan's co was different to abs's.

It was brilliant. I stopped using it when Alan changed the pick up arrangements when he left the factory.

I have always thought chocolate orange was a bait the angler likes more than the fish.

When I look back at all the different baits I’ve used over the last 20 years, I think Coopermans choc orange was probably the best. I can’t remember why I stopped using it. Probably due to it being very soft making it not very durable as a hookbait. Nowadays I’d probably combine it with something from SHB for the hookbait.

Active baits make baits for cooperman

Ive used both, as in fom cooperman and directly from ABS

They are iirc, different. Coopers bait were very soft and i had to order hardened hookbaits. The bait was also almost white in color. Excellent bait, had lots of decent fish on it

ABS was slightly brown in colour, harder baits, and again caught me plenty of fish

Give ABS a ring when Geoff is in and have a chat, last time I asked him to make me a bait from their back catalogue he said he would make it for me but, "why drive an old car when you can drive a new one that has rocket boosters".

I fancy taking a trip down memory lane and getting a bait from the good ol' days of fishing on the Yateley complex, so I'm looking at getting a batch of ABS choc orange to scratch the itch.

Just wondered, is it the same as what Coops used to sell or has it changed since then?

Cheers
