If you have access to any of Rod Hutchinson books, he was a pioneer in this field. Otherwise, soak for minimum 12 hours and simmer 30mins, experiment with cooking times.

Take a look on the particle prep guide here on the forum or just treat as standard procedure (soak, boil). perhaps experiment with sprouting before prepping.
