I’m currently on jigsaw and as Yonny mentioned it’s one of the best looking lakes I’ve fished in 40 odd years carp fishing.
The track is a nightmare it wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t a mile and half long, second session last year I got a puncture £170 for a new tyre the first third of the track isn’t to bad as the gravel company sort that bit out.
A few points…There are otters on there I’ve seen them, when the river properly floods and as a result so do the lakes so they get closed which as happened twice could of been 3 times last year..if you catch one you won’t get back in the same swim Its happened to me.
Nice lake not loads in there and tricky but no carp is un-catchable

In reply to Post #6 I’ve fished down there for 30 years on and off. Tricky waters but catchable. Fish original seen but caught infrequently. There are otters from time to time but they tend to take the smaller fish from my observations. Not seen or heard of many about since the gravel extractions started around there a couple of years ago. 90 % of cars that get issues are golf’s or cadets with alumnium sumps, and drivers going too fast. I’ve never seen a car with a bumper missing there, let alone 3! Tracks alright atm as gravel company is using it so it’s well topped off apart from the last section.

In reply to Post #5 It’s a shame as the lakes are stunning, first walk around I spotted 3 vehicles with missing or smashed bumpers

In reply to Post #4 They have been fixing the track for the past 20 years!!!

In reply to Post #3 The track is the worst I’ve ever seen and the reason I never joined. I believe it may have been done since but don’t quote me on it.
Lakes are stunning as are the stock.
At the time it just wasn’t worth trashing the car.

In reply to Post #1 As Yonny says, lovely lakes. I only went for a look round a few years ago, the only thing that put me off was the track to the lakes, after an hour drive to get there it took another 15 to 20 mins to get down it.
I was in a car though so I'd say a van would deal with the dips better.
You should go for a wander round

In reply to Post #1 I haven't fished it but been down there several times for a look around. I have pals that have fished it and one still currently on there. It's a beautiful place - in fact I rate Jigsaw as one of the prettiest lakes I've seen - ever.
I think it's only one bank that can't be fenced but could be wrong. The little lake (Clover) is fully fenced I think. The otters have been on there for years and years and they used to find all the ottered carp on the island on the big lake whenever someone boated over to it. They're not easy waters (the bigger ones anyway) and a lot of the bigguns go on the missing list for long periods which I'd assume is difficult to get your head round given the otter situation i.e. you're never sure what you're fishing for.
I'm sure someone will be able to give you more accurate info.

Does anyone know much about ecton lakes syndicate. The lakes look amazing and the carp on their website look top draw.
I believe the 3 syndicate lakes arent otter fenced, does amyone know if this has caused any issues?
I can't find a whole lot of info on the place on here so I don't know if it's a good ticket to have or not. Anyone got any information?
