Bear in mind that none of these water are syndicates, they are limited membership season ticket venues.

In reply to Post #8 The extra fencing he has put in to ensure the fish stay within each lake and the site area is very impressive. Some lovely fish in there.

In reply to Post #7 East Delph has been pretty clear of Rats over the past couple of years, however, that might be different again when he eventually reopens after yet more flooding.
Real shame for James the guy that runs East Delph, lovely bloke who has worked incredibly hard but fact is it was closed more than open in 2024 due to unprecedented floods, he is losing thousands so difficult to see what the future holds for him there long term. Let's hope he is open again soon and the weather in 2025 is kinder, I used to love winter sessions on there December through to March but he's been closed the last 2 winters.

In reply to Post #6 I remember having a social at East Delph the rat numbers were incredible, to be fair the owner did put out rat traps behind our swims every night.
Seems to be a challenge with a lot of the lakes in Peterborough .
Just have to apply the usual common sense.

In reply to Post #1 Roughs is near Yaxley. Lovely looking, very shallow lake with some stunners in there. Be warned though, the Rats are there in horrendous numbers thanks to a potato farm next door.

In reply to Post #1 I'm on the bakers/homefield syndicate, also on the list for a couple of others.
From my experience they are well run as you would expect from Korda. Well spaced swims, good membership levels with the goal to have people there regularly but not overcrowded.
Not an old school syndicate with few rules but mostly sensible ones that you can manage with.
Does seem like this year they cleared a lot of people off the lists, I think a hangover from the Covid boom when it was free to on the list. £40 now to get on waiting lists. Normally open up in April/May when they start handing out tickets to new members. Just keep an eye on their social media for updates.

In reply to Post #3 I've been a member of stanton, was probably the best syndicate I've been on at the time, the lists are long now but go quick, I seem to get offered tickets every year, even being 20 or so down the list, last year for some reason most lakes didn't fill from the list, looks like most deferred, I was offered places on two of the lakes, lots of the lakes ended up getting advertised publicly

In reply to Post #1 I’m assuming you’ve put your name on the waiting list as it’s quite short at the moment, the embryo waters my way have waiting lists as long as your arm now..
Over the last few years I’ve noted an explosion of people taking up carp fishing.
Gone are the days that syndicates and club waters are quiet.
If you are retired then not a big deal.
I’ve no idea about the lake in question though the stock seems reasonably and the price pretty good .
It says south Peterborough so getting there should be easy.

Hi, I am looking at joining or getting name down on a couple of the embryo syndicates. I just wanted to know if anyone knows where the roughs lake is roughly? And also if anyone is a member on one of there syndicates how busy are they, are you normally getting a swim at the weekend or are they full alot of the time? Thanks
