I'm not really a fan of Nash tackle... I bought the titan when it was first released in 1992 and I had nothing but aggro with it. I think the only Nash product I've bought since then was the Arctic sleeping bag, which was excellent.

So, after avoiding Nash gear for almost 30 years, I purchased the blockhouse for longer sessions, trips to France and trips with Mrs Collins. Having used it twice now, I have to say I'm really, really happy. It's not perfect (is anything?), but I'm more than happy with it.

Pro's:- goes up quickly and easily. Goes down easily. Huge 1 person capacity and also takes 2 bedchairs with ease. I love the fact that all 4 sides can be completely opened up which was a real godsend in temps of 32 c in France. Hi quality velcro in groundsheet, which seals the bivvy nicely. Multiple door options

Cons:- it's heavy at 22kg so it's very much a bivvy for driving round to your peg. Door options take a while to work out, and a bit fussy. While the mesh door is 2 way, the clear door and the solid door only zip one way which is a shame. Not cheap at £700, but shop around. Got mine for £600

I've read comments about the height of the bivvy being a concern. Well, shortly after putting the shelter up for the first time in France we were hit by a hurricane strength storm which blew the bivvy, me and the wife and all the gear up into the air and up the bank. The bivvy survived (so did we!), but 2 mates next peg along had their titans demolished.

I don't think is the bivvy for everyone, but should you be in the market for a session shelter, this is very much worth you consideration.
