Reminds me of the McDonald's chips you find down the side of your car seat, look good enough to eat but you know you last ate a Big Mac meal in the car three years back.

A couple of years ago I threw out a bucket of shelflifes, about 5kg. They smelt, felt and looked exactly as I remembered them from when I got them in about 1994.

They’ll be fine. I fish the rivers for carp and always on the look out for cheap boilie bundles, often near to or expired, that I can use to prebait. Loads of shelf lifes have expiries but I’m yet to see them turn even after a year.

If that tub is pretty well sealed then they will be fine ……. No need for vacuum packing etc.

This is not from a bait side... but from what I've been told generally food wise (on a BBQ chef day thing) the only big step up in vacuum sealler function is when moving to a chamber sealer.

The various strip sealers outside of looks and extra buttons for timers etc are all much of a muchness.

I've got a generic strip one it use it for aaaaaaall sorts. Way more useful that you'd think but it's probably being a bit of an old man now that you really appreciate this sort of thing and can make a forum post on it

Get yourself a Bonsenkitchen vacuum sealer and some Fresko sealer bags 20x30cm. You will get 1kg in each bag. Just store them in a cool dry place.

What Shelflife are they?
Most of the shop bought ones are stacked with preservatives.

Store in a cool and dry place. This might be buckets or sealed bags.
