In reply to Post #9 The Spanish traditionally make a drink using Tiger nuts which are Chufas in Spain
the nuts are finely blended and steeped in water for some time ,the mixture is then filtered and the liquid used as a drink , may have sugar and more water added.
So as is the way in the world you can buy it ready made as a cordial Horchata de chufa ,in a bottle in the super markets, this is what is sold here as the Liquid Tiger nut product at a large mark up. Note from memory ,from looking at it in the super market it is about 50 or 60 % sugar in the bottle so just concider the value of what you are buying. I think Solar were the first to sell it in this country ,but they stopped selling it after a relatively short time. (1or 2 years )
Note , the residue from the manufacturing process would normally be fed to live stock as a wet or moist feed , though it is also dried and bagged up to be sold as Tigernut Flour , so as far as fishing is concerned you have to ask if this Tiger nut residue what I actually want in my boilies , we have never used it , and grind up whole tiger nuts for meal and flour , for our tiger nut Boilies.

In reply to Post #7 Never heard of that, so Googled Horchata
"Horchata is a sweet Mexican drink made from rice. Horchata is made by blending white rice and cinnamon sticks in water and letting them soak overnight. After the rice and cinnamon are discarded, the remaining liquid is then flavoured with vanilla, sugar, and ground cinnamon"
Doesn't mention Tigers

In reply to Post #1 Horchata comes in a curvey bottle from the same source in Valencia Spain. Google it, you might be able to source some without the added carp tax.
