In reply to Post #1 As other have said you will have had some for of yeast or bacteria in it.
When you blitz crumb in a food processor you will actually introduced moisture into it from the air inside the chamber.

In reply to Post #1 You might find that there is some micro organisms having a munch.
I had this with some animal feed that I was using as a boilie ingredient. You could almost see it moving. Too unstable so had to bin in, which was a shame as it was a very useful product.

In reply to Post #1 It sounds like yeast was reacting to ambient moisture. I think that could be a good thing, mix it up well.

Recently made up some groundbait - mixture of different breadcrumbs.
Anyway, left in a bucket for a few days ... The bait bucket started heating up - noticeable warm to touch if you were to put your hands on. Intrigued I had a little rummage about and the bottom of the bucket was now a sticky paste.
Would like to know if anyone else has experienced this with breadcrumbs before and what process was happening to it, for it to start turning into a sticky paste. The was no moisture or added liquids to this ... Just 4 x different breads blitzed in a food processor.
