Had my ss3000’s recently serviced by reel tech, really happy with the work he’s done. He had to order a few bits in but was still a quick turn around

Sorry to revive an old thread, but would second recommendations for Reel Tech. Have just had my Cast'izm's serviced by them. I was a little apprehensive sending them off as have never had reels serviced previously but was very pleasantly surprised by the experience.

The communication throughout the process was grwat with reciept of delivery, notification of when work started, an accurate ETA, all questions answered promptly and notification of dispatch with tracking. Most importantly the reels made it back safely and are looking/feeling as good as new.

Whilst I can't compare to other companies mentioned based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reel Tech.

Agreed. Most people don't have the skills, if you have them then use them

I guess I find it more interesting than sitting in front of the tv after work in the evening.
But yes we are all different.

Or if you value your own time at greater than the £25 odd per reel they charge. I used to do my own, but for that money I’d rather pay.

They are very much north of Cambridgeshire in March, not far from Wisbech or Peterborough.

I’ve never ever had any reels serviced, just oiled and greased the necessary parts and no issues (there are lot of good videos on YouTube) I guess if it’s a repair or a tricky upgrade or you just don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself makes sense.

Another recommendation for Reel Tech from me. Got my Infinities done just before Christmas. Great communication, nice work and very fair pricing. No problem doing it all by post.
