My ven-tec xl 5 season bag came yesterday. Very impressed, material and filling feels miles better than my gardner bag and feels warmer but more compact.

Cheers mate, it never occurred to me that I'd zipped it in wrong. I've done it twice now too, both times the wrong way.

I made that mistake too, youve put it in the wrong way round. If you do it right it fits perfectly. Bit fiddly to put in and out, but that would be my only negative comment on the bag.

Question to the Trakker 365 users...

When you zip in the inner lining/bag, has yours got about 5-6inches of surplus zip each side where they meet near the head area?

Mine has and also a 1inch gap where they meet?

Got a brand new fortis teclite im about to sell as its to small, its looks really well made and material is great but zips look a bit small on it. I sold my gardner plus duvet when i bought the fortis which was very warm but the toggle in inner section is very cheaply made and the toggle in design is crap. Just bought a fox ven-tec 5 season xl bag but it hasnt arrived yet. I much prefer just the one piece bags without the second inner liner.

I've the Nash mf60 bed teamed with gardener carp duvet cover very cosy

When I'm packing light I take my trakker rlx flat 6 leg and use my old cyprinus magmetex 5 season bag with the cover what's just as warm as the mf60 system..

Like above a hot water bottle can make a difference if needed

Stay away from stoves and heaters 🥺🥺🥺

I personally wouldn't bother with the Trakker 365

I've used one for the last 2 seasons now and I find it worse that the Trakker Pertex and peach skin that I've used previously for the last decade

I dont think its no warmer and the way it zips together feels like it has got cold spots and 2 of the zips have been damaged with just light use.

Next time I buy a bag it will be a dedicated winter bag with no zip in/out parts

Trakker duotexx. Keep it on all year round - no need to swap between summer and winter bags. It's all in one.

365 or Snugpak Techlite for warmth and all round comfort? Weight difference is obvious, but not really a concern.

Agree. The 365 is a great bag but I find that it is too warm in summer and swap to a cheap light bag or just a cover. With the liner in, it is warm as toast, and having the cover built into it is a nice touch. Having previously owned the big peachskin trakker, and a Snug pack Antarctica way back, I'd say the 365 is a better, more versatile, and warmer bag. Tremendous bit of kit.

A.good bedchair cover will usually give you the added warmth needed for anything in this country, and also doubles up as a cover for warmer months when a sleeping bag is a bit too warm.
