In reply to Post #9 I saw your other thread mate. Not tried the Daiwa or the FS but the Treb and the Century I have, they're both very hard work compared the Aviator imo 👍

In reply to Post #12 Not even close to being heavy

In reply to Post #11 Would you say its a heavy rod?

In reply to Post #9 I have the aviator 13 foot and it's one hell of a rod. Super accurate and you can hit distances with hardly any effort . By far the best spod rod I've ever used, I've used a couple of different sonik, a nash, a wychwood, and 2 different century big Bertha's

In reply to Post #7 What other rods have you used to compare these to?
And anyone else that recommends aviators

In reply to Post #7 This would be my recommendation too. I use an Aviator in 12ft and a Tacklebox CFX in 13ft and the Aviator is in a different league. CFX is decent if on a budget, good for getting lots of bait out when you need to with a large spomb, but it’s heavy.
I hate spodding, but the Aviator makes you feel like Terry Edmonds!

In reply to Post #1 Harrison Aviator Spod is the one mate. You've not mentioned a budget but I'd think that will be the recommendation from a few chaps.

Hi I'm currently looking for a new spomb rod that I can use for medium to long range .
Ive been looking at the free spirit ctx SPM in 13 ft and looks like it could suit me but also seen the 13 ft Nash dot spod rod which also looks nice and is a tad cheaper but can't make my mind up.
Any recommendations or reviews on the above rods would be much appreciated
Tia
