In reply to Post #8 That would be Eglwys Nunydd. It's a cooling water supply reservoir for the steel works.
Run as a trout fishery and sailing club.
Only coarse fish I've heard of from there were large rudd and some pike.
Suffers badly with Argulus fish lice at certain times of the year
When I drive past, I often think how good a carp water it would make with a couple of thousand fish stocked

There is Bosherton Lily ponds - I know it holds decent pike and tench, whilst I've never heard of anyone carp fishing it may have some in there...

In reply to Post #9 Looks an interesting bit of water, looks ripe for a few secrets.

In reply to Post #8 Not that I've heard of. Used to have some big eels in there

Slightly afield is there carp in that large resi on the edge of Port Talbot, on the left of the M4 as you approach PT?

In reply to Post #5 It's slim pickings. I live an hour north of Swansea and currently drive to Shropshire for a syndicate. There really isn't much else around. Fendrod is a park lake on a club ticket that is full. Then few days tickets in Cardiff area. Caerphilly most is good but club ticket and full. Not much else to suggest.

Thanks for the replies. I don’t mind travelling a bit further if there are some better lakes?

In reply to Post #1 There are a few coarse fisheries around there but as already said nothing for carp specifically or night fishing, the ones I've seen are Dawn til dusk type venues. Celtic Lakes and White Springs tye nearest lakes for night sessions I know of

In reply to Post #1 you could stop at White Springs just west of Swansea. Day ticket. Not my cup of tea but does contain some good fish.

No notable fisheries in Pembrokeshire to my knowledge - if you are happy to travel a few miles you have Celtic Lakes in Lampeter or you have White Springs (not my cup of tea) and Fendrod in Swansea.

Going to visit a mate for a few days in the Pembrokeshire and thought I might do a few nights fishing after. Any decent lakes around that area?
