Not looking good :-( De Puy needs to come off Weghorst on, someone who will get behind the Turk back 5 DP just holds up play back to goal. When the wingers do get it there's no 1 in the middle and Gakpo is being marked out of the game.
Going to be a hard slog beating that Turkish defence.

In reply to Post #470 They had their chances, to be fair they are a decent team. I agree though, we have not real outlets when pressed and we go deeper and deeper
Got to admit, some minerals Trent, not played and what a pen that was!
Palmer looks class and Luke Shaw made a difference too for me. When it opened up it was a bit more entertaining, thought it was going to end to end but we fizzled out a bit, legs had gone which is understandable
As much as I hate to say, it, international football is a different game to what we are used to watching

Were lucky towards the end with those few Swiss chances and hitting the bar.
Kane looked absolutely fu**ed!

In reply to Post #468 Problem is as soon as the oppo get the ball we sit so deep. The Swiss were unlucky in the second half of extra time but for once we had 5 well taken pens.

In reply to Post #465 If he'd done it earlier we might have looked worth a win...
Pleased for the players who put the penalties away.
But by God the football is pretty dire.
England are the new Greece?

First half I was thinking ffs. The subs were the key, straight away, attacking and men in the box. He needs to just tell Bellingham and Foden to run at them. Soon as Palmer was running at them they were on the back foot and **** theirselves
Can’t say I am happy about penalties but they all did well, best I have seen, super composed
Simple for me, they need to play to Kanes strengths and he needs to stay up the field or they have to drop him, great finisher but not getting any service, when we do have the ball he has the pace of a donkey and is on the half way line ffs
Really liked the look of Toni, him and Foden up front running at them could be something special for us

In reply to Post #466 Taken a charmed path so far so wouldnt surprise me if they did, but wouldnt it be great if they could put in a performance we could all be proud of.
Apart from the last minute equaliser theres not been too much jumping off of my chair from me

In reply to Post #462 Bit late but you never know 4 Shaqiri, but looking more & more like pens.
If the Netherlands play as slowly as they did last match Turkey will rip them to bits, but if they play the way they're capable of it could be 3:1.
My orange shirt is on, I hope my father (Dutch) is watching on from above
Edit, Englands hopes in the hands of Trex
I really hope if it goes that way he becomes a hero

In reply to Post #461 Maybe for 30 minutes if it stays 0-0
I like the lad Embolo.
And I'm also rooting for the Netherlands later on. Not just because of my Liverpool bias. Been a fan since the 1970's of Dutch football

Swiss need to bring Shaqiri on.

In reply to Post #459 Yep, the commentators are saying Kanes making no moves Are they watching a different game, he's made 3 runs with the ball on the R wing, where does it get sent, L of the box, same old same old.
Please Netherlands make football great again...or most likely not, I live in hope!

So he's playing wing backs for width and some attack down the flanks
However - he's got right footed Trippier on the left out of position and left footed Saka on the right out of position. So they both have to come inside to get on their better foot. Negating the use of wing backs entirely.
And the player with the best right foot and passing in English football who creates more from that right side than any other defender?
Nah. He's on the bench.
Fecking clueless
