In reply to Post #5 Thanks.
It sounds a bit cliché ... but, it's the users that make the site.
I'm simply the caretaker that helps keep it ticking along, as are the MODs whose help I appreciate for smoothing out the everyday running of the site.
I haven't done much, to the site, in the last 10 years...certainly not compared to the first 10 years. However, I've started doing a few bits again recently. There's so much I can do and so many ideas, but I'd rather be fishing!
Hopefully people have found the site useful over the last 20 years...and hopefully it will continue to be useful in the future.
Have a good 2023 people

I've just realised I've been a member of the forum for 17 years! Just sat here an almost pin pointed the day down when I joined, I'd just left home in Devon and moved in with my older girlfriend (who is now my wife) flat in London.......she had internet, we never had it at home in Devon! 😂
I've made alot of friends and even got jobs rolling bait from the forum, unfortunately I haven't been as active the last few years and have lost touch with a alot of them.
Does anybody know when carp forum was launched?
Wishing you all happy new year,
Smithy
