Grind it up in an ice cube crusher and incorporate it into spod mix. You don’t have to feel like you’ve wasted money then!

Thanks for the reply. I hear you regards not worrying about the Sticky baits being hard… that’s what I’ve been telling myself. It’s just becoming an itch to scratch by now though!

Have used all 4 of their baits & found them excellent.
I found Royal Marine the softest, but no problems getting it out in a wet stick (seagulls permitting). If necessary I just spod it out.
I wouldn't worry about the baits you have being hard. I have used air dried baits that are hard as marbles & caught with them

Always used Atlantic heat in boilies fresh and shelf life and pellets and paste and have scent from hells mixed sizes and colours in a pot so I don’t have to take loads of pots with me.
One thing I don’t have to worry about when I go.

Ive been using scent from hell hook baits for the past 3 years with a good catch rate.
This year I'm also using Atlantic Heat which has caught me some good fish.
The baits are very soft so you need some hard hook baits to use with them.

Quite a timely post as I am also looking to try Baitworks.
I've been using Sticky so far this year. I bought in bulk in March, but have never really been happy and it's starting to nag at me. I bought 25kg of Manilla and 25kg of Krill shelf life in mixed sizes, plus a load of matching pellets, liquids and hookbaits. Every bag of boilies I have opened so far have been like bullets. They really are stones and it's impacting my confidence in the bait.
I've got to the point where I can mentally square away the wasted money, so I'm looking at Baitworks who - this thread aside - seemed to have generally good reviews, especially with regards to the softness of the baits.
Interested in people's views, and a suggestion as to which of their range I should go for in the first instance? They seem to suggest all of their baits are suitable for year-round use so I'm interested in people's experiences on how the baits have performed and under what kind-of conditions you favour them.

Found this post from few years ago was thinking of making my first Baitworks order of Atlantic heat. Quite a few negatives knocking BW but not Found many other negative reviews.
Anybody had any issues with the bait of late. I'm hoping it'll be a good quality bait if I order.

We call em "a***holes" 
It's a combination of things that can cause it.
Too long in the rollers - Caused by a firmer / dryer paste
bait not binding properly during the forming - Caused by oil coating bigger particles
Now, boilie production, and getting it "cock on" is trial and error and things change, ingredients aren't consistent 12 months of the year no matter how high quality they are, and things like oil and gluten content can shift (slightly, not huge levels) and this will effect the diameter the sausage needs to be. now, in one of their videos, I noticed they'd had made some custom metal nozzles, I get why, there bait is coarse, I myself burn through nozzles so I can easily see it happening to theirs, especially if they roll their paste on the firm side, as boilie dough typically needs to be a lot softer to go through the rollers, slightly "tacky" as that tack grips the blades of the machine and helps pull itself through the rollers.
square finishing, as someone else said, isn't to do with the rollers not being close enough but rather the sausage too small, it goes squared ends, to weird oval, to perfect round, to expanded bumholes depending on the size of the sausage.
Thats why not matter how big you are you need to monitor boilies coming out the machine for defects, you cant tell by naked eye with the nozzle either at this stage you need to use a vernier. and a decent one that reliable does two decimal points of a millimetre. if I roll at 11.27 / 11.39 for 15mm on the boilies Im doing today, the world smiles and the sun shines, if I go over, its headache time lol.
this is a different measurement for each bait as well, and as I say can fluctuate. hence why I feel metal nozzles limit your capability to react to said fluctuations.
Having said that, some of the rolled gear Ive seen from them hasnt been caused by this but rather a lack of care in taking out offcuts and monitoring the machine ( so kick back gets added by mistake ).
Kick back, just for reference, is where a sausage drops onto the rollers before the previous one has the chance to go through, this causes one of them, usually the previous one, to kick up and be pulled over the front roller as opposed to go through the blades, meaning you have virtually an entire sausage make it through.
This isnt a problem in single roller systems that have one circular blade resting in a curves recess bowl blade, but this format of machine doesn't roll anywhere near round bait.
Not saying its right that ts happened to you AT ALL just giving some insight into what may have occurred.
Its strange because there will have been lots of human operated steps after rolling in which the quality should of been checked. its quite possible that mabe some who work there are more relaxed than others about it

Oval? That sounds like nozzle too big. With the amount they roll the nozzle should be right, the mix may have been soft so it expanded after it was extruded. Consistency off.
If they were a bit square, too big a gap between the rollers. Depends on the machine they use.

snap., my baitworks delivery contained many un formed balls, as though they were rolled on rollers too big, thus not compressed the balls enough. Good bait, caught a few last year, but mainly on alternative hookbaits over their bait

It's funny, all of us pick up the miss rolls, but I don't know a single company owner that themselves fishes with round bait, it's like the chefs piece of a meat cut lol
