In reply to Post #10 Bounty is going to be my choice of venue when my son is old enough for a dad's and lads trip (a few years off yet). Has everything onsite and ideal in regards to stocks and level of challenge (plus a bar!!)

Evening Gents,
I'm after a recommendation for my first French trip with my 14-year old son (he's a keen carper). The criteria I'm looking for:
- No more than 2 hours drive (from Chunnel or Pompey ferry).
- Bivvied up but access to freezer and showers.
- Small venue (max. 10 acres).
- Size not an issue, 20s and 30s plenty good enough.
- At the prolific/runs water end of the scale.
I have zero experience of French fishing so I'm keen to get some of the collective wisdom on here. Thanks in advance for your help.
John
