Thank you guys. You have been a great help. He is over for the football tomorrow so I now have some choices for him. He is old school so a brolly with sides is maybe a step too far for him but I will do my best to convince him of the benefits of the fox specialist

I just checked and the Fox 45" specialist brolly is only 3kg

In reply to Post #1 I had one Forget the pentalite rubbish and the other korum one and these hides and other shelter types are bordering on bivvys I’ve had a few in my time the best is the fox specialist brolly without question

In reply to Post #1 Titan Hide XL. It’s a lot taller than the standard Hide and it comes with vents on the back. Really easy to assemble too

Dads umbrella is letting water in. It fell down today and his old umbrella leaked like a sieve. He still managed three carp despite his soggy seat. My thoughts are to get him a day shelter. The pegs on his club lake are quite tight and he would need a good height. Any suggestions ?
Dad is 90 so nothing too complicated or strenuous btw
