In reply to Post #6 these are clip on spools as opposed to drag knobs
Example spool,
you can put a very small o ring on the shaft were the spool clips down on for a little lift.
I think the front of the spool unscrews around the push button, that shiney bit with the recess lugs each side and there are adjustment shims within the click mechanism to move the mechanism up and down within the spool thus moving the spool up or down on the shaft
failing that take them back

In reply to Post #5 You've likely chucked them, they come with them. You'll have to ask a tackleshop to order you some

In reply to Post #4 Bought new, but no washers, unless I inadvertantly chucked them lol

In reply to Post #3 Shimano reels usually come with them in the box (if you bought the reels new).
Funny story: I watched a youtube unboxing video for Ultegra 5500XTD and the guy threw away the bag with the washers along with the instructions etc.

In reply to Post #2 OK, any idea of thickness and where to buy please mate?
Edit to add, it looks like the spool needs to travel about 1 ti 1.5mm further forward

In reply to Post #1 You need to add a spool washer

As per the title, I have a pair of these, spooled them up ad noticed the line lay is come shaped with the widest point towards the front of the spool.
How can i overcome this? It's almost as it the spool does not go far enough forward in travel.
Thanks in advance Carpforum massive
