I've just started a new contract in Hook so looking for somewhere to camp for a night or two a week and found this place on the map.

Any info on contact details? Might go for a walk one lunch time to see if any signs say no fishing

I night fished there a few times as a kid in the late 70s and thought the place was great. Big perch in there back then.
A few years back I was in the area so walked around again and there was a bloke fishing for carp and he said the place was being sold but didn't know who to.

It is a really nice looking water, well looked after.
Wasn't it owned by Suzuki at one time?

By the way that stretch of the Basingstoke canal overlooking the lake holds a few lumps.

I would be interested in finding out if it's been taken over, I might have to make an hour or so drive and take a walk around again.

Definitely a syndicate on there and I have seen a bivvy reasonably recently whilst cycling along the canal. My Osteopath used to treat one of the members on there but can't give me his details for obvious data protection reasons.

Do you actually know there is a syndicate on it? All looked private last time I took a walk!

Does anybody know who runs the syndicate, as I would love to wet a line there?

Many thanks.
